How I Built an AI-Powered Launch System for Creators That Makes Me $6k/mo (Free n8n Template)

If you’re tired of juggling YouTube strategy manually — jumping between channels, guessing what titles or thumbnails work, and trying to read the tea leaves of your audience’s comments — I get it. Been there, burned out there. The grind of “analyze, tweak, rinse, repeat” gets old fast.

What if you could automate the whole thing? An AI-powered launch system for creators that acts as your personal YouTube strategist, running daily and weekly audits, breaking down what’s working in your niche, analyzing your audience feedback, and then spitballing fresh video ideas tailored just for you? All without writing a single line of code.

That’s exactly what I built using n8n and some clever AI integrations — and it’s been consistently pulling in over $6,000 a month from YouTube. I’m sharing the whole blueprint, plus the free template, so you can set this system up yourself and stop wasting time on guesswork.

The Setup: What’s Under the Hood?

Here’s the stack I’m running:

  • n8n — the no-code automation tool that ties everything together. Way more flexible than Zapier, and none of that annoying two-minute delay.
  • Apify — an app store for scrapers. I’m mainly using their YouTube Scraper actors to pull video data and comments.
  • OpenAI (via OpenRouter) — to analyze video titles, thumbnails, and comments using AI-powered text and image analysis nodes.
  • Google Sheets — the dashboard where all the insights land, clean and easy to scan.
  • Slack — for daily notifications to keep me in the loop without opening a dozen tabs.

Bonus: I built a simple form submission trigger inside n8n to start the system whenever I want, plus scheduled weekly and daily triggers to keep the data fresh.

The Magic: Breaking Down the 5 Phases of This AI-Powered Launch System for Creators

Phase 1: Niche Outliers (Manual Trigger)

You start by entering three YouTube channels in your niche — I went with Nick Sarave, Robo Nuggets, and Simon Scrapes. The system scrapes their top 30 videos, filters down to the 10 best performers from the past six months, and pulls key data like title, URL, thumbnail, views, and likes.

Then comes the AI analysis:

  • Title Analysis: The AI scans each title and extracts 1–3 “power words” — those attention-grabbing, promise-packed phrases that make titles clickable. Think “full course,” “build and sell AI automations,” or “ten hours.”
  • Thumbnail Analysis: Using OpenAI’s image analysis, it breaks down why thumbnails work — like bold text, high contrast, or value cues that hook viewers.

All of this gets neatly dumped into a Google Sheet tab called “Niche Outliers,” giving you a pattern bank to steal from and remix for your own content.

Phase 2: Broad Weekly Insights (Scheduled every Sunday)

This one runs automatically every Sunday at 5 AM. Instead of just your narrow niche, it casts a wider net — for me, that’s “artificial intelligence.” It scrapes the top 5 trending videos in that broad niche from the past week and does the same title and thumbnail analysis.

Why bother? Because sometimes the best packaging ideas come from outside your immediate bubble. What’s working in the broader AI space might be tailor-made to adapt for your specific niche later.

Phases 3, 4 & 5: Daily Targeted Niche Insights, Comment Analysis & Ideation (Scheduled daily at 6 AM)

This is where the system gets really personal and powerful:

  1. Daily Niche Scrape: It scrapes the top 5 videos from your specific niche (for me, that’s NNN) from the past week, analyzes titles and thumbnails, and logs it in the “Niche Daily Insights” tab.
  2. Comment Scraping & Analysis: The system grabs the 5 newest videos on your own channel, scrapes the latest ~30 comments per video, then bundles all comments together for AI to analyze patterns.
  3. Comments AI Insights: The AI sorts viewer feedback into three buckets:
    • What you’re doing well
    • What isn’t working (audience dislikes)
    • What your audience wants more of
  4. Ideation Agent: Finally, the system combines the daily niche insights and comment analysis, plus a short channel description I gave it, and generates three new video ideas — complete with title and thumbnail packaging suggestions.

This ideation step is like having a strategist whispering new angles and hooks in your ear every morning.

The Real Talk: Why This Works and How You Can Customize It

Here’s the thing — I built this system because the manual grind of YouTube strategy was a massive time sink. I’d jump between channels, try to decode what was working, and then scramble to keep up with audience feedback.

With this AI-powered launch system for creators, all those manual steps are automated. It’s not perfect, but it’s consistent, reliable, and customizable. You can swap out channels, tweak your niche keywords, or change how many videos and comments it scrapes.

Plus, the whole setup is no-code. I used n8n because it’s open, flexible, and doesn’t throttle you with annoying delays. Apify takes care of the scraping heavy lifting, and OpenAI’s GPT models do the analysis. Google Sheets is the simple dashboard — no fancy BI tools required.

If you want to get nerdy, I highly recommend process mapping your own manual workflow before automating it. I sketched mine out on Excalidraw, which made it clear what steps to automate and how to loop through data efficiently.

How It Works Under the Hood (A Quick Tech Breakdown)

  • Looping Through Channels: The form submission takes three channels, bundles them into an array, and processes each one individually for scraping.
  • Scraping with Apify: The YouTube Scraper actor pulls video data and comments. You’ll need an API key (grab one from Apify and use my code 30NATEHERK for 30% off).
  • Filtering & Sorting: Because Apify’s date range and sorting options are limited, I scrape 30 videos, then sort by views and filter for videos uploaded in the last six months, finally limiting to the top 10.
  • AI Analysis: The title analyzer extracts power words with a prompt telling GPT to find 1–3 compelling words or phrases. The thumbnail analyzer uses OpenAI’s image analysis node with a prompt to identify why the thumbnail encourages clicks.
  • Comment Aggregation: The system pulls the latest 5 videos from your channel, scrapes about 30 comments each, then aggregates all comments into one batch for the AI to analyze patterns.
  • Ideation Agent: Pulls in today’s niche insights and comment analysis, plus your channel description, and outputs three fresh video ideas with packaging details.

Everything writes back cleanly into Google Sheets, which doubles as your strategic dashboard.

Pricing Breakdown: What’s This Costing You?

Surprisingly, not much.

  • Apify Actors: The YouTube Scraper costs $5 per 1,000 videos scraped. My system pulls about 90 videos weekly, spread across different phases — so you’re way under that limit.
  • Comments Scraper: Costs $1.30 per 1,000 comments. I pull about 150 comments daily, so again, it’s pennies per day.
  • OpenAI / OpenRouter: The AI calls for title and thumbnail analysis are minimal — less than a cent per call.

Use my Apify discount code 30NATEHERK to save 30% and keep costs even lower.

Bonus Ideas for Next-Level Automation

  • Hook Analysis: Scrape video transcripts to analyze opening hooks, then build a pattern bank of what grabs attention early.
  • Conversational Packaging Agent: Chat with an AI that knows your niche’s power words and patterns, helping you package any video idea on the fly.
  • Content Calendar Research: An agent that scans your niche’s latest news and trends daily, helping you plan timely videos.
